The 23rd Psalm

The Lord is My Shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures; He leadeth me beside still waters.
He restoreth my soul; He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake.
Yea, through I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies; Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

When lambs are born, they do not know the voice of their shepherd, but they quickly learn to recognize it and trust it. Once they do, other shepherds can call that lamb, but it will respond only to its master's voice, which it knows so well.

It should be natural for a believer in and follower of Christ to know the voice of his or her Master. That is why our Lord Jesus Christ said, "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow me". -- John 10:27

So be very careful to love the Lord your God.  -- Joshua 23:11

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.  -- Romans 8:28

Save your people and bless your inheritance; be their shepherd and carry them forever.
-- Psalm 28:9

For the Lord gives wisdom, and from His mouth come knowledge and understanding.
-- Proverbs 2:6

Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God's Spirit lives in you?
-- 1st Corinthians 3:16

I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me, My sheep recognize my voice; I know them, and they follow me.  -- John 10:14, 27

But He led forth His own people like sheep, and guided them in the wilderness like a flock.
 -- Psalm 78:52

This is what the Lord says: "Let not the wise man boast of his wisdom or the strong man boast of his strength or the rich man boast of his riches, but let him who boasts boast about this: that he understands and knows me, that I am the Lord, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight," declares the Lord.   -- Jeremiah 9:23-24

Let your adornment be the inner self with the lasting beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in God’s sight. -- 1 Peter 3:4

By the Grace of God I am what I am, and His Grace toward me has not been in vain.
   -- 1 Corinthians 15:10

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. -- Galatians 5:22-23

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. -- Proverbs 3:5-6

Create in me a clean heart, O God, and put a new and right spirit within me. -- Psalm 51:10

He will shield you with his wings. He will shelter you with his feathers. His faithful promises are your armor and protection. -- Psalm 91:4

I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.
   -- Psalm 32:8

Live in harmony with one another. -- Romans 12:16

If you repay evil for good, evil will never leave your house. -- Proverbs 17:13

Kind words are like honey-sweet to the soul and healthy for the body. -- Proverbs 16:24

The Lord is righteous in everything He does; He is filled with kindness. -- Psalm 145:17

Physical exercise has some value, but spiritual exercise is much more important, for it promises a reward in both this life and the next. -- 1 Timothy 4:8

If we live by the Spirit, let us also be guided by the Spirit. -- Galatians 5:25
