The 23rd PsalmThe Lord is My Shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures; He leadeth me beside still waters.
He restoreth my soul; He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake.
Yea, through I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies; Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
|When lambs are born, they do not know the voice of
their shepherd, but they quickly learn to recognize it and trust it.

only to its master's voice, which it knows so well.
It should be natural for a believer in and follower of Christ to know the voice of his or her Master. That is why our Lord Jesus Christ said, "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow me". -- John 10:27

-- Psalm 78:52
|This is what the Lord says: "Let not the wise man boast of his wisdom or the strong man boast of his strength or the rich man boast of his riches, but let him who boasts boast about this: that he understands and knows me, that I am the Lord, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight," declares the Lord. -- Jeremiah 9:23-24|
